Lighting analysis

Taken:

The lighting in this photo presents a gloomy and serious feel. The background is dark so that there is more focus on the characters facial expression. This is done to make the audience follow and understand the emotion in this scene. The producer wants the audience to have a dominant view with this scene, so they see what the producers want. There is more lighting on his hand to emphasise him speaking on the phone. This is don't to show that this phone call is important. The orange tones used is to show a curtain warmth like he's inside.

Batman:

In this photo the tones that are used are there to show a cold and distant feeling. There are only dark colours, and this is done so that it gives of a mysterious and moody impression. This character is clocked in darkness and only his face has some light on it. The light was postponed in a way to show him looking at something bright as if he's looking at something better and happy. He's in the dark unable to be in the light. Thats the impression I get of this character.

Fight Club:

This photo has mostly orange colours. Once again this is done to show a warmth as if he were inside. The lighting in this shot is focused on him in order to draw attention to him. His face is half covered in a shadow. This is done to make him look serious and it also draws attention to his facial expression that looks hostile. This would make the audience think he's in a fight and he is feeling angry.
